Imaging specialist Barco sees sales and profits rise

Imaging specialist Barco posted higher sales and profits last year, in line with analyst expectations, the Kortrijk company’s annual results show.
Barco’s activities include technology in meeting rooms, medical monitors, and laser projectors and screens for cinemas. Its cinema activities account for the largest share of turnover, growing by 11 per cent to 466.8 million euros in 2025.
The company benefited from programmes to replace lamp projectors with lasers in cinemas, as well as from the roll-out of new projection technology in theatres, particularly in the Europe, Middle East and Africa region. Sales in the Americas were flat, affected by tariff increases and exchange rate effects.
"Sudden changes in US trade policies and currency volatility created headwinds, yet our teams responded with agility and determination"
Sales fell in other areas last year, however. The enterprise division experienced a 7 per cent drop in sales, while healthcare sales dropped 4 per cent to 262 million euros.
“2025 was a year that truly showcased Barco’s progress and resilience. We were proud to return to sales growth and deliver profitability improvement, even as the external conditions proved more challenging towards the second half,” said CEO An Steegen.
“Sudden changes in US trade policies and currency volatility created headwinds, yet our teams responded with agility and determination to contain the impact.”
Total revenue grew 2 per cent to 963.8 million euros, in line with analyst expectations. EBITDA profit (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation) rose 4 per cent to 125.1 million euros, also in line with expectations. Net remained at 71.6 million euros.
Gross dividend rises from 0.51 euros to 0.55 euros per share
