Lotus Bakeries lifts dividend after strong year

Belgian biscuit maker Lotus Bakeries reported another strong set of results, with sales and profits rising sharply in 2025.
Revenue grew by 10 per cent to 1.36 billion euros, helped mainly by higher volumes. Operating profit increased by about 13 oer cent, while net profit climbed to around 173-177 million euros. The company said currency movements, especially in the US dollar and British pound, slightly reduced growth in euro terms.
On the back of the performance, Lotus raised its dividend by almost a fifth to 90 euros per share, its 25th increase in a row.
Growth was driven mainly by its Biscoff brand, which saw sales rise 13 per cent across markets including Canada, Mexico and several European countries. Biscoff now accounts for more than half of group revenue. The company’s “natural foods” snacks business, with brands such as Nakd and Trek, also grew strongly.
New factory
Lotus has been investing heavily to expand production. A new Biscoff factory in Thailand has started operating, and capacity in the US has also been increased. Further investment of about 250m euros is planned for 2026 and 2027.
Chief executive Jan Boone said demand remained strong despite global uncertainty. He added that partnerships with Mondelez in markets such as India were helping fuel future growth.
The company’s debt has fallen to a record low, dropping to 67.5 million euros. Shares in Lotus Bakeries rose more than 3 per cent in Brussels trading on Friday, to about 10,500 euros.
