GameForce at Brussels Expo draws thousands of visitors

GameForce, the largest gaming fair in Belgium, is expected to attract thousands of visitors over the weekend, Het Laatste Nieuws said on Saturday. The two-day event takes place at Brussels Expo.

Visitors can find the latest games, toys and gadgets during GameForce. There is even an initiative to recruit citizens to join the Belgian army. “To get job seekers to look in the direction of Defence, we have to respond 'out of the box' to the labour market,” says Stephan Boonen of the Defence ministry. A stand is dedicated to information and a place to sign up for the army.

Most visitors, however, will attend the event to try out games and new technology, especially in the realm of virtual reality.

Besides games, interesting food and drinks not readily available in Belgium, such as typical American or Japanese snacks, will be on sale.
