The Brussels Motor Show will take place at Brussels Expo from 10-19 January, the 101st edition of the event after a year's absence. A record 63 car and commercial vehicle brands will participate, organisers say.
The event was cancelled in 2024 after key exhibitors withdrew and the organisers instead created a smaller event for professionals. “Almost all the major players who supported the previous editions will be present again,” said Frank Van Gool, CEO of vehicle federation Febiac.
“A few major brands are returning to the Heysel Palace after their absence last time, and many newcomers are excited to introduce themselves to the Belgian public.”
About 15 new brands will debut at the show.
“The various brands will be showing the public all the technical innovations and possibilities from their range," the organisers say. "And while some specialist brands have a 100 per cent electric range, many others are presenting a wide choice of technologies."
The event will host the international Car of the Year competition, which has recognised the best car on the European market since 1964.
Major premieres
Visitors can look forward to entertainment, including photo opportunities in supercars, racing simulators and daily performances by four-time trial world champion Kenny Belaey. Around 40 luxury cars will be on display, alongside two F1 cars, including Max Verstappen’s. The show will feature three world premieres, seven European premieres and 27 Belgian premieres.
As Belgium’s largest trade fair, the Motor Show aims to attract 300,000 visitors this year. Pre-pandemic editions drew more than 500,000 people.
