Thousands march in Brussels to call for immediate ceasefire in Gaza

An estimated 21,000 people gathered in central Brussels on Saturday for the European March for Palestine, according to police reports.

The march left North station at 14.30 and moved to Midi station, where speakers addressed the crowds.

Coinciding with Armistice Day, the solidarity march is supported by civil society organisations including trade union FGTB, solidarity association CNCD-11.11.11, the Palestinian Community of Belgium and Luxembourg and the Belgian Support Committee of Support to the Sahrawi People.

They are calling on the EU to do everything in their power to bring about an immediate ceasefire in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
