No appeals filed in Brussels terrorism trial making all rulings final

None of the parties in the trial of the Brussels terrorist attacks of 2016 have filed an appeal against the judgements of guilt and the sentences. Luc Hennart, the spokesperson for the assize court, reported this to Belga on Monday. The court's rulings are now final.

The deadline for submitting a cassation appeal for those convicted was Monday.

On 15 September, the assize court handed out sentences of up to life in prison to the eight men convicted of the 2016 attacks in Brussels, concluding Belgium's largest-ever criminal trial.
