Microsoft introduces first-of-its-kind AI assistant button to keyboard
Microsoft is adding a button for its AI assistant Copilot to keyboards for its Windows operating system, the corporation announced in a blog post on Thursday.
The button to directly activate the AI assistant will be located to the right of the space bar. This is the first change to the Windows keyboard layout since 1994.

At the touch of a button, users will be able to generate images more easily, draft emails, summarise text and adjust computer settings, with the help of AI assistants.
Microsoft will introduce the new button next week at the CES technology fair in Las Vegas. It will be gradually rolled out on new devices running Windows 11 from the end of February.
