LATAM Airlines to launch first direct Brussels–São Paulo flights in over 25 years

Starting in June 2026, LATAM Airlines will launch direct passenger flights between Brussels Airport and the Brazilian metropolis of São Paulo, the first time such a connection has been offered. The airline will operate three flights a week, marking a significant expansion of Brussels Airport’s intercontinental network and restoring a direct link to Latin America for the first time since 2000.
The connection between Brussels and São Paulo is expected to open new opportunities for business travellers, tourists and the Visiting Friends & Relatives (VFR) market, particularly within Belgium’s Brazilian community. It also positions Brussels as a convenient entry point into Europe for passengers travelling from Brazil.
“We warmly welcome LATAM Airlines to Brussels Airport with this new direct passenger connection to São Paulo," said Arnaud Feist, CEO of Brussels Airport. "This announcement is a significant milestone for our airport: it's the first direct passenger connection to Latin America in over 25 years. This route significantly strengthens our intercontinental network and offers our passengers direct access to one of Latin America's most important hubs. For travellers from Brazil, Brussels Airport, in the heart of Europe, also serves as an ideal gateway to Belgium and numerous other European destinations. We look forward to a strong and lasting partnership."
Alongside the new passenger service, LATAM has increased its cargo operations at Brussels Airport, expanding the number of cargo flights since September 2024. This growth has made Brussels the most important European transport hub for LATAM Cargo, further deepening the airline’s presence in Belgium and strengthening ties between Europe and Latin America.
