Ghent-based Graphius Group completes acquisition of Dutch printer
Belgium’s Graphius Group has finalised its acquisition of Dutch printing company NPN Drukkers in Breda. With the move, the company strengthens its presence in the Netherlands with local production facilities.
The acquisition marks a significant step for printing group Graphius, which has long regarded the Dutch market as key but has so far relied on production facilities in Belgium. By establishing local production in the Netherlands, the company aims to expand its customer base.
NPN Drukkers, known for high-quality printing, filed for bankruptcy on 16 December. The company’s activities will now continue under its existing name as part of Graphius Group. Many employees should retain their positions.
Strong reputation
“The acquisition of NPN Drukkers perfectly aligns with our ambition to establish a stronger presence in the Netherlands with a local production facility," Graphius CEO Denis Geers said in a press release.
"NPN Drukkers has built an excellent reputation through years of expertise and a customer-focused approach. By joining forces, we can elevate the quality and efficiency of our services for our Dutch customers to an even higher level."
Graphius Group, founded in 1928 in Ghent, has grown into one of Europe’s largest printing firms with operations in Belgium, France, the United Kingdom, North America and now the Netherlands.
