Dutch customs intercept 450 kilos of cocaine destined for Antwerp

Dutch customs have seized 450 kilos of cocaine in Rotterdam on a ship bound for Antwerp. According to the Dutch public prosecutor's office, the drugs, worth around 34 million euros, were hidden in a container of fruit from Guatemala.

The drugs were discovered during an inspection of a ship travelling from Panama to Antwerp via Rotterdam. Among the barrels of canned fruit, inspectors also found 14 boxes in the container. Inside were gym bags containing 450 packets of drugs, each weighing 1 kg.

The container of cocaine was destined for a German company which, according to the prosecutor, had nothing to do with the trafficking.
