CEOs of Ageas and I-care named Managers of the Year

The CEOs of insurance group Ageas and predictive maintenance company I-care have been named Managers of the Year by business magazine Trends and TV channel Trends Z. The two were presented with the award at a gala ceremony in Brussels on Wednesday evening.
Hans De Cuyper of Ageas and I-care’s Fabrice Brion have been honoured for their companies’ contribution to the Flemish and francophone economies. It is the 41st time the trophy has been awarded.
Brion founded I-care with Arnaud Stiévenart in 2004. He has since transformed the Mons-based industrial predictive maintenance company into a global leader in the sector, with annual growth of 30 per cent and a staff of more than 1,000 people. Its turnover reached around 56 million euros in 2024, up from 43 million the previous year.
In December, the company announced that it had passed the 1 billion euro valuation mark after raising funds and refinancing 20 million euros.
Brussels-based Ageas – Belgium’s largest insurer – is active in 13 countries. Last year it acquired the British insurer esure.
To arrive at the winners, the Trends editorial team compiles a longlist of up to 20 candidates for each region, which are then reduced to a shortlist of five. These are profiled in the magazine and on Trends Z. The public and former winners are polled, before a final decision is made by a jury based on factors including financial performance, innovation and sustainable management.
