Gert Bervoets and Laurent Louyet named Managers of the Year 2024

Gert Bervoets, CEO of logistics company H.Essers, and Laurent Louyet, head of the Louyet Group in the automotive sector, have been named Managers of the Year 2024 by Trends magazine. The awards were presented during a gala evening at Brussels Expo.

Bervoets has been leading H.Essers, specialised in multimodal transport and logistics for the chemical and healthcare industries, since 2013. He has steered the Limburg-based company through challenges in the logistics industry, including fierce competition and rising bankruptcies in the sector. He has been praised for his ability to maintain the company’s resilience during turbulent times.

Louyet, CEO of the Louyet Group, was honoured for his achievements in transforming the family-owned car dealership into a major player in Belgium’s automotive sector. The group now includes more than 20 dealerships, employs 900 people and generates nearly 800 million euros in annual revenue.

The Trends Manager of the Year awards, held for the 40th time, recognise business leaders who have made significant contributions to the Flemish and French-speaking economies in Belgium. Other nominees this year included leaders from SD Worx, FN Browning Group and Leonidas.
