Belgian flight simulator firm Euramec signs strategic deals for Indian and UK expansion

The Belgian flight simulator developer Euramec has signed a strategic partnership with India’s Genser Aerospace in order to enter the fast-growing Indian aviation market. The agreement was formalised at the Paris Air Show in Le Bourget, in the presence of Belgian Defence minister Theo Francken (NV-A).
According to Euramec CEO Bert Buyle, India, which is set to acquire hundreds of new aircraft in the coming years, presents major commercial and military opportunities. “This agreement marks a key strategic success for us,” he said, noting plans to supply simulators for both fixed-wing aircraft and helicopters. The collaboration will begin with the delivery of a Cessna 206 simulator to an Indian university.

At Le Bourget, Euramec also signed a partnership with UK-based Stirling Dynamics to jointly develop next-generation flight simulators. Stirling, which is headquartered in Bristol, specialises in advanced flight control systems. Under the agreement, Euramec will construct the cockpit hardware and integrate Stirling’s technology into the simulators.
The partnership has already secured a contract to supply a SF260 simulator, a trainer aircraft produced by Italy’s Leonardo Group, to an African client. Further projects are in the pipeline, including potential work on drone systems and avionics for new commercial aircraft. Buyle described the deals as 'a major step forward' and confirmed that the company is targeting expansion in the United States, where it recently established a joint venture.
