Western Union rolls out network of offices in Belgium
Western Union has launched a network of 13 new offices across Belgium, complementing its existing services in the country. The offices, in Brussels and several other cities, add to the approximately 700 points of sale where customers can access Western Union’s money transfer services.
Western Union operates its own store network in 22 European markets. In Belgium, the company has five offices in Brussels, two in Antwerp and one each in Bruges, Ghent, Kortrijk, Liège, Mons and Namur.
"We continue to explore new market opportunities with a view to expansion," the company said in a press release on Thursday, indicating that additional offices could be established in the future.
As a global financial services provider, Western Union operates in more than 200 countries and territories, handling nearly 130 currencies. In 2023, the company reported 4.36 billion USD in global revenue from its cross-border money transfer services.
