Watt4Ever' wins Belgian Business Awards for the Environment

Watt4Ever, a company specialised in dismantling and testing electric car batteries and giving them a second life, has won the Belgian Business Awards for the Environment (BBAE). With this award, the Federation of Belgian Enterprises (FEB) puts companies that successfully combine innovation and economic feasibility with environmental protection in the spotlight.
For the 18th edition of the Belgian Business Awards, the Federation of Belgian Enterprises (FEB) nominated ten companies, that each use innovative practices, processes and products to contribute to the transition to a circular and low-carbon economy.
An independent jury chose Watt4Ever as the winner of the prestigious Gold Award. The company offers individuals and businesses pioneering solutions in the field of energy optimisation and storage. The CO2 impact of these batteries is 80% lower than that of new ones. The Watt4Ever battery also avoids 18 tonnes of waste, and no additional minerals or rare metals such as cobalt have to be mined.
"Watt4Ever is the Belgian pioneer for circular batteries. We help companies and individuals to reduce their energy bills. The award will give us wings. With these sustainable solutions, we can put Belgium on the European map," Aimilios Orfanos, CEO of Watt4Ever said.
The top three was completed by the following laureates: BC Materials (Silver Award) and Fost Plus (Bronze Award).
