United Airlines to offer twice-daily New York-Brussels service from late March
United Airlines will add a second daily flight between New York's Newark Airport and Brussels Airport from the end of March, the airline announced Thursday.
United currently operates one flight a day. Travellers can also fly to and from New York (JFK) to Brussels Airport with Brussels Airlines and Delta Air Lines. United Airlines also flies direct from Zaventem to Chicago and Washington.
The announcement comes on the same day that the New York Tourism Board reported that tourism in the East Coast city is on the rise. 59.6 million tourists are expected to visit New York this year, rising to 63.7 million by 2024.
This would bring tourism back close to pre-COVID-19 levels, as in 2019, a record 66.6 million visitors were counted. New York was hardest hit by the effects of the pandemic in 2020, with only 22.3 million visitors in that year.
