Two people die as small plane crashes close to Spa airfield

Two people have died after a small aircraft crashed close to Spa airfield on Sunday morning The victims were both Germans but have not yet been identified. 

A press briefing was told that the pilot missed his landing and hit a parked car, causing a fire. Both the pilot and passenger died. The owner of the car was not in the vehicle. The incident took place about 100 m from the airport.

The N62 motorway is currently closed to traffic and the airfield will remain closed at least until Monday morning.
