Tomorrowland honours late Swedish DJ Avicii with memorial space at festival

Tomorrowland will pay tribute to Tim Bergling, better known as Avicii, the Swedish DJ who last performed at the dance music festival 10 years ago. A memorial space will be created at the festival site in Boom with a visual and audio story about the life and legacy of the DJ, who died in 2018.
The tribute to Avicii includes a 144 square metre installation with never-before-seen images of him, as well as personal stories about the man and his music. The experience will only be accessible by reservation.
Available to all Tomorrowland fans, at the festival and beyond, is Avicii Forever, a “spatial audio” experience available via the Tomorrowland app and Apple Music, through which people can relive three of his sets at Tomorrowland.
Linked to Tomorrowland
“Avicii's story is inextricably linked to that of Tomorrowland,” the festival organisors say. “In 2011, he surprised the audience with his first appearance on the Main Stage, where he performed his now iconic hit Levels - months before its official release. What followed were magical sets in 2012, 2013, 2014 and a final performance in 2015.”
Three years later, the Tomorrowland audience honoured the DJ with a giant Swedish flag bearing his portrait during Nicky Romero's set. “To this day, artists at the festival pay tribute to Avicii by incorporating his tracks into their sets and sharing personal memories.”
