Three dead in Iranian counterattack on Israel

Three people have been killed in Israel as a result of Iranian missile attacks. Dozens of others were injured, the Times of Israel reported on Saturday morning. The Iranian attacks on Israel are a response to the large-scale attack launched by Israel on Friday evening.

Iran carried out attacks throughout the night. Most of the missiles were intercepted, reported the Times of Israel, citing a military spokesperson. However, there were strikes in the centre of the country, including in the Tel Aviv area, and debris from intercepted missiles fell to the ground. Several houses were damaged.

Meanwhile, the Israeli army announced that it was continuing its own attacks on targets in Iran. According to reports, the air defence system had been reactivated earlier in the capital Tehran. Eyewitnesses and local media reported explosions in the centre and northeast of the Iranian metropolis during the night

The Iranian attacks on Israel are a response to the large-scale attack launched by Israel on Friday evening. According to official Iranian reports, dozens of people were killed and hundreds injured. Most of the victims were civilians, including women and children, said Iranian UN ambassador Amir Saeid Iravani.
