This weekend: 36th Flower Festival in Ghent inspired by famous Flemish Paintings

Flowers and plants will take center stage again during the 36th edition of the Flower Festival "Floraliën" in Ghent. The famous painting Lam Gods "The Lamb of God", executed by the Belgian Van Eyck brothers, is the main source of inspiration for this edition. The organization hopes to attract plant enthusiasts and display trends and latest developments in the field of sustainability, research and innovation regarding the horticultural sector.

In addition to the actual festival, many activities in Ghent will be based on the floral theme. All participating establishments can be recognized by a floral window drawing on the theme of the Floralies 2022. Pastries, chocolatiers, ice cream makers and brewers also offer unique creations to taste along a route through the city.

‘Floraliën‘ will take place on its usual location: the ICC buildings, the Floraliënhal and the Kuipke in Ghent. The free spectacle can be visited from April 29 to Sunday, May 8, 2022.
