Third suspect arrested over Clemenceau metro shooting

A third suspect was arrested on Thursday in connection with the shooting that took place at the Clemenceau metro station in Anderlecht on 5 February. The shooting was the first of several that shocked the Brussels region last month.
An investigating judge has placed the 19-year-old suspect under arrest, the Brussels prosecutor's office said on Friday. Two other suspects arrested earlier remain in custody.

Manhunt in metro tunnels
At least some of the perpetrators fled through the metro tunnels, leading to a large-scale manhunt in the tunnels by the federal police's special intervention units that disrupted metro and tram services for hours.
Several house searches were carried out the following day, during which weapons were confiscated and a first suspect was arrested. On 20 February, a second series of searches took place and another suspect was arrested.
