Spa-Francorchamps unveils plans for successor of Uniroyal Tower

Two weeks ago, the Spa-Francorchamps circuit dismantled and demolished the famous Uniroyal Tower. It will be replaced by a new building, dubbed the Uhoda Tower, the circuit's management announced at a press conference on Thursday.
For decades, the Uniroyal Tower was one of the most recognisable landmarks of the Spa-Francorchamps circuit. Inaugurated in 1985, it overlooked the pit lane, serving as a control and timing post as well as a hospitality area for teams and sponsors.
However, the Uniroyal Tower no longer met modern safety standards, which is why it was dismantled and demolished in October. On Thursday, the management of Spa-Francorchamps announced the building that will take its place: the Uhoda Tower.
"This new structure will better meet the current and future needs of the public, promoters, teams, visitors and motorsport enthusiasts," management said at a press conference.
Event and simulation centre
The upper floors of the new Uhoda Tower will be dedicated to business tourism and events, while the ground and first floors will host VIRTEX, a professional-level simulation centre. A new walkway will connect the fan zone to the tower, improving mobility and visitor flow.
The entrance to the F1 circuit will also be completely overhauled. The former Foguenne farmhouse will be extended to become the circuit's main entrance, with offices and a reception area. The building will continue to house the police and security services.
The Uhoda Tower, which will be higher and larger than the Uniroyal Tower, is the result of a collaboration between the Spa-Francorchamps Circuit and the UHODA group, a Liège-based company active in real estate and mobility, among others.
The work will cost between 6 and 7 million euros. The Uhoda Tower is scheduled to be inaugurated on 12 June 2026, shortly before the Spa 24 Hours and the F1 Grand Prix.
