Seven winter sports centres open in Belgian East Cantons

On the last day of the Christmas holidays, there is a layer of powder snow of 10 to 15 cm in Belgium's higher areas, which is good news for winter sports enthusiasts. Seven winter sports centres are open in the east of Liège province, according to the East Cantons tourist office.
At the Worriken winter sports centre, in the Bütgenbach area, the 2, 4, 6 and 8-km trails are ready for cross-country skiers.
On Mont Spinette in Malmedy, the 4 and 11-km cross-country trails are open. Cross-country skiers can also enjoy the 5, 6 and 7-km trails at Baraque Michel. In Signal de Botrange, there is 15 cm of powder snow and the 5, 6 and 7 km cross-country trails are also open. In Weywertz, you can cross-country ski on the 2, 4, 6, 8 and 13 km trails.
In Büllingen, at the Losheimergraben winter sports centre, you can ski on 4, 8 and 12-km slopes. In Ovifat, red, green and blue slopes are accessible to skiers.
If you want to go sledging, you can do so on Sunday in Weywertz and Ovifat.
