Seven hundred protesters in Brussels in solidarity with Iran

Around 700 people gathered at the Iranian embassy in Brussels on Sunday afternoon to show solidarity with the protesters in Iran. In Tehran and many other cities in Iran, people have been taking to the streets for more than a week, in protest against the bad economic situation and the oppressive regime.

Numerous people have been killed. According to the NGO Iran Human Rights, 192 people have already been killed, while other sources report more than 500 deaths. A few days ago, authorities turned off internet and telephone connections nationwide, making independent reporting on the ground difficult.
