Second person dies at Tomorrowland festival

A 35-year-old man has died at the Tomorrowland music festival in Belgium, the Antwerp public prosecutor's office confirmed on Saturday. It follows the death of a 26-year-old festival employee last week.

The 35-year-old visitor from Thailand was found unconscious on Friday night and died shortly afterwards in hospital. He was found in an area only accessible to special ticket holders.

The cause of death is not yet known. The Antwerp public prosecutor has appointed an investigating judge. The festival organisation confirmed the death and expressed condolences to his next of kin.

Last week, a 26-year-old employee died at the crew campsite during the festival's first weekend. Prosecutors suspect the death was drug-related, but an autopsy and toxicology report has yet to be completed.

Tomorrowland is an electronic dance music festival held in the Antwerp municipality of Boom. Organisers expected around 200,000 visitors on the final weekend of the festival.
