Roularta rounds the million subscriber mark

Publisher Roularta has reached the one million subscriber mark in the first half of 2022. The publisher of magazines such as Knack, Trends and De Zondag announced this on Friday before trading hours.

Sales at the Roeselare-based publisher rose by around a fifth (19.7 percent) compared with 2021 to 169.7 million euros. Two thirds of the turnover comes from the magazine brands.

The ebit (earnings before interest and taxes) also coloured dark green with a plus of 25.2 percent.Normalised EBITDA - adjusted for non-recurring costs or revenues - rose by EUR 0.7 million. Compared to precoron year 2019, the ebitda was 6.6 million euros higher (+63.8 percent). The net result thus came to 7.2 million euros. This is EUR 0.9 million lower than the year before.

Roularta remains cautious in its outlook for the second half of the year. The company speaks of 'insufficient visibility to make a further forecast for 2022'.
