Real estate developer Bart Versluys robbed of watch worth 350,000 euros

Real estate developer Bart Versluys was robbed on Friday evening in Ostend. This was reported by Het Laatste Nieuws on Saturday and confirmed by the local police and the public prosecutor of West Flanders. The two robbers stole a watch worth about 350,000 euros.

Friday evening around 18h45 two persons attacked Versluys in the Zandvoordestraat in Ostend. They showed a weapon and used pepper spray. The victim was hit by the suspects, who then robbed him of his watch, a Richard Mille worth approximately 350,000 euros. The investigation is still ongoing.

Bart Versluys is best known as the CEO of Groep Versluys, a property developer that focuses on the Belgian coast. He publicly wore the watch last year, during the announcement of his investment in luxury hotel La Réserve in Knokke-Heist. Versluys promises a reward for anyone who can provide information.
