Over 60 killed in Moscow concert hall attack, two suspects arrested

More than 60 people were killed in the terrorist attack on the Crocus City Hall in a Moscow suburb, and two suspects have been arrested in connection with the attack.
Security forces in Russia have arrested two suspects in connection with the attack, a Russian MP said on Saturday.
The death toll from the attack has risen to more than 60, Russian news agencies including Tass and Ria Novosti report, citing the Russian Investigative Committee. The number could rise even further, the committee warned.
Three children killed
Three children were also killed in the attack, Tass reported. The regional health ministry said five people died of their injuries in hospital, including the three children.
Russian Health minister Mikhail Murashko said 115 people were still in hospital, including five children. Sixty of them, including one of the children, are in critical condition.
Authorities have called on the public to donate blood for the victims. Several stations are being set up for this purpose. All public events have been cancelled this weekend in Moscow and several other regions.
IS claims attack
The Islamic State (IS) terrorist organisation has claimed responsibility for the attack. IS fighters attacked a large gathering of Christians in Krasnogorsk, on the outskirts of the Russian capital Moscow, IS said in a statement on Telegram.
IS fighters killed and wounded hundreds of people and caused widespread destruction before retreating safely to their bases, the statement said.
US intelligence reportedly warned the Russians about IS attacks, according to CNN. Since November, there has been "fairly specific" intelligence, although it is not clear whether this was the reason for the warning from the US embassy in Moscow in early March of an attack "in the next 24 hours".
