One-stop website offers tickets for cultural events in Brussels
A new website allows people to buy tickets for a concert, theatre performance, exhibition, attraction or museum in Brussels in one place.
Ticketing.brussels gives an overview of the cultural and tourist offering in the city and allows them to buy a ticket directly. The website is an initiative by visit.brussels, which promotes cultural and tourist attractions in Brussels and is supported by the European Regional Development Fund. It is aimed at both Brussels residents and visitors from Belgium and abroad.
Organisers of cultural and tourist activities can access the system and use their own software to manage ticket sales and booking. Visit.brussels reaches millions of people every year and will now run a campaign to widen its audience.
The aim is to make culture and leisure accessible to the widest range of people. The website will also offer half-price last-minute tickets from 12.30 to 17.30. Last-minute tickets are also available from the venues themselves.
“Two surveys have shown that the vast majority of the public are attracted by an online booking catalogue. This service brings together what’s on offer in Brussels and optimises the user experience,” said a visit.brussels spokesperson. “What’s more, it suggests other activities that match their interests.”
