No more disruptions at Brussels and Charleroi airports

The airports of Brussels and Charleroi returned to normal operations on Wednesday, a day after strikes paralysed air traffic in Belgium.

Unions organised a national strike on Tuesday to demand better pay and working conditions for catering staff, cleaners and security guards. All departing and some arriving flights were cancelled.

On its website, Brussels Airpot is still urging passengers to arrive on time on Wednesday. "Due to the rebooking of many passengers, we expect a busy day at Brussels Airport on Wednesday," the airport said.
