Next Festival brings theatre, dance and performance to Belgium and France
The Next Festival will be back for its 17th edition from 6 to 30 November in southern Belgium and northern France. The event will feature around forty theatre, dance and performance shows in 15 border towns, as well as workshops, conferences and meetings.
This year's edition will include shows dealing with themes such as the environment, women's rights, emancipatory struggles, the emotions that move us, and our relationship with difference.
ShThe programme includes shows such as Wasted Land by Ntando Cele, Face à la mère by Guy Cassier and Jean-René Lemoine, Nelken by Pina Bausch, and Malicho Vaca Valenzuela by Reminiscencia.
The international event welcomes artists from all over the world. Many of the performances will be in English or Spanish but will be subtitled in French and Dutch.
The performances will take place in different venues in 15 border towns in Belgium and France, with a shuttle bus taking the public from one point to another. Tickets must be purchased separately for each performance. The full programme can be found on the website nextfestival.eu.
