More than 80 companies share expertise on wind industry in Ostend

More than 80 companies gather in Ostend Wednesday and Thursday for the Belgian Offshore Days. During the two-day fair, the various companies active in the offshore wind industry and green hydrogen share their expertise.
The seventh edition of the Belgian Offshore Days was kicked off on Wednesday by the mayor of Ostend Bart Tommelein and bOC president Christophe Daene in the ACEG Arena in Ostend. Around 800 people are expected to join the event. Several experts will give information sessions on various topics.
"If we and our Belgian companies want to continue to play a leading role in renewable energy at sea, cooperation between all parties is more necessary than ever," says Christophe Dhaene, chairman of organizer Belgian Offshore Cluster (BOC). "The Belgian Offshore Cluster therefore believes in strong relationships with stakeholders and brings together a broad group of different actors. Therefore, during the first day of the exhibition at the Belgian Offshore Days, we pay extensive attention to this cooperation between the different actors."
During the second day of the fair, green hydrogen takes center stage with the Inn2POWER conference. The European Inn2POWER project focuses on the link between offshore wind energy and hydrogen. The project brings together companies and players from both sectors to stimulate cooperation.
The Belgian Offshore Days runs until March 24th.
