Maritime contractor DEME on track for record year

Maritime contractor DEME says it is on track for a new record year, based on third-quarter figures. Turnover for the first nine months of 2025 rose by 3 per cent to almost 3.1 billion euros, thanks to strong growth in the construction of offshore wind farms.
The order book has risen from 7.1 billion euros last year to 7.5 billion euros and is stable compared to the mid-year point, when the company booked record profits and raised its forecast for the rest of the year.
DEME, based in Zwijndrecht, East Flanders, reconfirms that full-year turnover is expected to be at least in line with 2024. It expects significant improvement in EBITDA profit (profit before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation), with an EBITDA margin in the range of 20 to 22 per cent.
The dredging and marine engineering group secured a new offshore wind contract in Taiwan in September, through its joint venture CDWE. The deal covers the transport and installation of 35 foundations, an offshore substation and erosion protection works.
