Man injured in Charleroi shooting

A man was shot three times in Charleroi on Thursday evening, the city's public prosecutor's office confirmed on Friday afternoon, following reports in several media.
A suspect fired at two men who were walking on the Boulevard Jacques Bertrand in Charleroi at around 20:30 on Thursday. One of the men was taken to hospital after being shot three times in the shoulder, foot and buttocks.
Suspect at large
The public prosecutor's office said on Friday afternoon that the victim's life was not in danger. The person who was with the victim has been interviewed by the police and the victim will be interviewed "as soon as his state of health allows it", the office said.
The suspect has not been identified and remains at large. The prosecutor's office said it had no information at this stage on the motive for the shooting and that the investigation was ongoing.
