Koen Deryckere named new CEO of Cegeka

Belgian IT firm Cegeka has appointed Koen Deryckere as its new chief executive. He will take up the role on 1 May, the company announced on Monday.
Deryckere joins from consultancy giant Accenture, where he has worked for more than 25 years. Most recently, he served as chief executive and chair for France and the Benelux countries, and was a member of the company’s Global Management Committee. Earlier in his career, he led operations across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
He succeeds Stijn Bijnens, who left last year to become chief executive of telecoms group Proximus. Bart Watteeuw will remain interim CEO until the end of April before moving into the role of chief operating officer.

In a statement, Deryckere said he was proud to lead “one of the jewels of the Belgian economy”. He praised Cegeka’s strong culture, talented staff and impressive track record, and added that he aims to strengthen growth in Europe and expand further in the United States.
Headquartered in Hasselt, Cegeka operates in 17 countries, employs more than 10,000 people and reported consolidated revenue of 1.3bn euros in 2024.
