King Philippe and Queen Mathilde to attend inauguration of Pope Leo XIV

King Philippe and Queen Mathilde will travel to Rome on Sunday to attend the inauguration Mass of Pope Leo XIV, the Royal Palace has announced.

Pope Leo XIV, born Robert Francis Prevost, was elected on Thursday as the 267th leader of the Catholic Church and the first American to hold the position. He succeeds Pope Francis, who died on Easter Monday.
