Kim Clijsters makes an end to her comeback

Belgian tennis player Kim Clijsters is retiring from her tennis comeback. The 38-year-old three-time Grand Slam winner announced this on Tuesday via social media. Clijsters announced a new comeback in September 2019, but her second tennis career never really got off the ground due to various injuries and the coronavirus pandemic.
"I want to share with you that I have decided to no longer play official tournaments", Clijsters, a native of the Flemish Limburg province and once the world's no. 1 female tennis player, wrote on Instagram. "I can't wait to see what new adventures will cross my path. Thank you to everyone who has supported me over the past two years."
On 12 September 2019, Kim Clijsters surprised the tennis world by announcing her second comeback. Clijsters, mother of three, wanted to find out for herself if she could still compete at the highest level.
