Former New Zealand PM Ardern brings vision of kind leadership to Brussels

Jacinda Ardern will be a guest speaker at Bozar in Brussels on 19 June as part of its Talks & Debates series. Drawing on her experience in political leadership, she will explore how we might build a more compassionate future.
The Talks & Debates programme brings some of the most notable voices of the 21st century to the stage, to give lectures and lead discussions that bridge the worlds of art and society.
Ardern will reflect on themes from her political memoir A Different Kind of Power, in which she challenges society to rethink leadership by asking: What if kindness came first?
Ardern became prime minister in 2017, aged 37, making her one of the youngest women to lead a government. She was also the second serving head of government in history to give birth while in office.
Her premiership was marked by significant events, including the Christchurch terror attack and the 2020 Covid-19 pandemic. She was re-elected with an absolute majority in 2020.
