Foo Fighters are coming to Rock Werchter 2024

American rock band Foo Fighters will come to Rock Werchter in 2024, the festival announced on Wednesday. They are the first name to be revealed for next year's line-up.

Foo Fighters, fronted by Dave Grohl, are touring to present their 11th studio album But Here We Are. After the US, Australia and New Zealand, they are coming to Europe, and will stop in Werchter, Flanders, along the way.

This will be their fourth appearance at Werchter, after performing in 1996, 2005 and 2017. They will close the festival on Sunday 7 July, the organisers announced.

It will be their first performance in Belgium since the death of drummer Taylor Hawkins in 2022. In May this year, the band announced Josh Freese, who has previously played with The Offspring, Guns 'N Roses and Weezer, as their new drummer.

Werchter 2024 takes place from 4 to 7 July at the Festival Park in Werchter. Ticket sales start on Friday 1 December at 10.00. Pre-registration, which gives early access to festival tickets, is already possible.
