Flooding prevents Eurostar travel between Europe and London

Eurostar trains between London and Continental Europe have been cancelled on Saturday morning. Eurostar reported this was due to flooding in a tunnel under the River Thames.

Travel journalist Simon Calder reported that the St Pancras station in London was "in chaos", with Eurostar cancelling 10 trains, affecting around 8,000 passengers.

Several trains from London to Paris, Brussels and Amsterdam and vice versa have been cancelled, according to the Eurostar website.
