Flanders launches digital platform for clubs and associations
A first version of the Verenigingsloket was launched on Tuesday. The digital platform should enable associations in Flanders to easily find correct information and the authorities responsible for a certificate, subsidy or licence, says the Flemish department of Culture, Youth and Media in a press release.
For clubs and associations in Flanders, the platform provides an overview of essential information, such as tax and administrative obligations and certificates.
It will also "easily direct associations to the services of their own local government or a Flemish government department and ensure that they get help quickly", Flemish minister president Jan Jambon said.
Through the platform, associations will also be able to register, consult and modify their own data and find information about other associations. They can also submit an application and consult and monitor on their files with various authorities in Flanders.
For the platform to function properly, all associations in Flanders must digitise their information. The government has released a budget of 300,000 euros to support this process.
