Flanders and Brussels turn "dark red" on the European Covid map

Flanders and Brussels turned "dark red" on the coronavirus map of the European Center for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) this July 7. Wallonia retained its "red" colour for the time being.
ECDC publishes a colour-coded map every Thursday, based on the 14-day incidence. The colours range from green to orange, red and dark red, depending on the severity of the epidemiological situation. Some areas have also been shaded in dark gray due to insufficient testing or simply no data available.
On the new map, almost all countries and regions where sufficient testing has taken place are coloured dark red. Flanders and Brussels have also been part of this since Thursday. In addition, France, Italy, Greece and Portugal also colour completely dark red.
Wallonia remains red, as does Latvia, parts of Ireland, Spain, Croatia and Slovenia. Mayotte, the French overseas department off the coast of Mozambique and Madagascar, is the only orange region.
