Five Belgian companies included in top 100 European employers

Five Belgian companies have been included in a ranking of the best employers in Europe by the Great Place to Work Institute.

It was announced during an official ceremony in Venice that Nivelles-based IT company Easi won third place in the “50-499 employees” category. This is the second year in a row that the Belgian company has ranked among the top five companies in Europe.

“2022 marked the massive return of our employees to the office,” its CEO Jean-Franois Herremans in a company press release. “We have done everything in our power to (re)strengthen the link with all our colleagues and to rediscover a dynamic and a corporate culture that makes a difference.”

Also ranking in the top 100 employers, Belgian digital solutions company Bewire, based in Herentals near Antwerp, took 19th place. Axxes, an IT consulting company, with a presence in Antwerp, Ghent, and Brussels, is also ranked among the top 100 employers in Europe.

For large companies, those that employed more than 500 people, several Belgian companies also appeared frequently in the top 100. Belgian bank Van Breda was placed in the 18th position, and Torfs shoe store earned a position in 33rd place. In 2019, Torfs won Europe’s best employer in its category.

The international Great Place to Work Institute rewards companies that foster trust-based work environments, where employees take pride in their jobs. The organisation also advises and organises activities for companies to help them improve their work practices.
