Eurostar from Brussels to London stranded for four hours in northern France

A Eurostar train travelling from Brussels to London was stranded for about four hours in northern France on Sunday due to an electrical failure. The air conditioning on board was not working, according to passengers who spoke to the BBC.
The incident occurred just past the French city of Calais on Sunday morning. One passenger reported that the air conditioning had failed and that they had to wait four hours before being evacuated. Another said the toilets were out of order. Local emergency services boarded the train to distribute water.
The frustrated passengers were eventually evacuated around 15:20. Photos and videos shared on social media show dozens of people, including emergency workers, standing by the tracks with their luggage. Many passengers complained about the lack of communication from Eurostar.
According to the BBC, Eurostar asked passengers via social media to remain in their seats and wait for evacuation. The company has not yet provided information about the cause of the failure or the extended delay.
