Euro 2024: Belgium beat Romania in second match

Belgium have picked up their first points of Euro 2024, with a 2-0 win over Romania. Youri Tielemans struck from long range in the second minute of a high-intensity game in Cologne and Kevin De Bruyne secured the victory with a second goal in the 80th minute.

After a shock 1-0 defeat against Slovakia in their first game of the tournament on Monday, the Red Devils seemingly found their confidence again on Saturday and got their Euro 2024 campaign back on track. Romelu Lukaku had a goal ruled out for offside, his third disallowed goal of the tournament.

Another defeat would’ve seen them dumped out of the competition. The win, however, leaves Group E wide open, with all four teams on three points going into Wednesday's final round of matches. Belgium take on Ukraine and Romania face Slovakia.
