E19 blocked because of serious bus crash

A serious accident involving a bus occurred Sunday midday at Sint-Job-in-'t-Goor (Brecht) on the E19 freeway linking Antwerp to Breda, in the Netherlands, the federal police said. The federal police confirmed two people have died and several are injured, but the situation is still very unclear. The road is completely blocked.

The Flemish Mobility Center (Vlaams Verkeerscentrum) asks users to avoid the area. For long-distance travel to Breda or Rotterdam, it is advised to use the A12 beyond Bergen-op-Zoom. On the E19, all traffic to the Netherlands must leave the freeway and follow a local detour to the Sint-Job-in-'t-Goor ramp. However, this emergency route is already very busy.
