Drunk man throws bottle at Biden’s car

A drunk man threw a glass bottle at US President Joe Biden’s car Thursday morning, just as the president had arrived in Brussels for the NATO summit, confirmed the Brussels police force to Sudinfo and Het Laatste Nieuws.

Under the influence of alcohol, the man threw the bottle on Thursday at 09:40 when the vehicle in which Biden was travelling, also known as “The Beast,” passed by.

Brussels police immediately got hold of the individual and arrested him.

“A drunken man indeed threw a bottle from a certain distance towards the escort of the American president,” confirmed Ilse Van de Keere, Brussels police spokesperson. “We were able to intercept him immediately,” she added, including that the man was now the subject of a judicial arrest.
