Drug violence in Antwerp: second attack on restaurant building in a week
In the Belgian city of Antwerp, unidentified persons attacked a restaurant building in the district of Borgerhout on Tuesday morning, the Antwerp public prosecutor announced. The same building was already shot at last week.
The restaurant building was set on fire. The restaurant is supposedly linked to (the family of) kickboxer Jamal B.S., just like several other buildings that have been targeted in attacks in Antwerp in recent weeks.
The fire was probably started with some kind of heavy fireworks and possibly also with fire accelerants. The forensic laboratory still has to determine this information. There were no casualties.
The same building was already targeted by a shooting last week. Two suspects were caught then, but no one was immediately arrested this time.
