Drug trafficker Ermir 'Cinco' Ndreaj arrested in Albania

The 44-year-old drug criminal Ermir Ndreaj was arrested in Tirana as part of an investigation by Albanian authorities into international drug trafficking, according to various Belgian and Albanian media reports. Six tonnes of cocaine were seized during the investigation.
Ndreaj, also known as "Cinco", was previously convicted in Belgium on several drug charges. In June, a court in Antwerp sentenced him to seven years in prison for his involvement in two successful and one attempted import of a total of 1.2 tonnes of cocaine.
In the same month, Ndreaj was also sentenced to six years in prison in a major drug case involving Frank "The Tank" V. The criminal court ordered his immediate arrest in both cases. The Antwerp public prosecutor's office said that it had not yet been officially notified of his arrest.
According to Het Nieuwsblad, Ndreaj was one of Antwerp's most prominent drug criminals for many years, owning a home and running a beauty salon in the city. He later relocated to Tirana, Albania's capital, and ran a nightclub in the coastal city of Durrës.
