Nerdland Festival showcases the science of gaming, music and film
The third edition of the Nerdland Festival takes place this weekend in East Flanders, featuring 200 workshops, presentations and shows about science.
Organiser Lieven Scheire describes the event as "the festival I would have wanted to go to as a child". The programme includes a live show explaining and demonstrating how special effects work on film, events that look behind the scenes of the gaming industry, and an exploration of the science of video games. Visitors can also unleash their investigative instincts in an interactive crime scene that shows how technology is changing the field.
